Check out what arrived yesterday!
I won't get to open up the boxes until next week (after we've painted, and all the wiring is complete) but still... they are here... and that is awesome! (LG should give me some s

Progress

While is in California, there was much progress inside my house. All the baseboards & trim is done. Doors are on. And I get to say fun words like "trimming" and "dooring."

Next step: paint!!!

Interior Colors - Inspiration

I am supposed to pick my interior colors out by Monday... which works great since I'm working like crazy this week and heading to Expo West tomorrow & all weekend. However... I think I'm narrowing it down. My house will be either be 1) mature, grown-up, moderate; 2) funky & bright, or 3) a combo. Yeah, totally narrowed down, huh?

I know this much for sure - my office will look like this. Hot pink. That, for now, is not optional. ;)
But the rest of the house? Neutral with pops of color?
Or a mix of my favorite colors, like the inside of Thunderbird Coffee on 2222...
Or, again, more calm & mature...

Like I said, TOTALLY narrowed this down.

Sigh.

"The Chair"

This chair has moved all over my house since before it was torn down. It used to live in the shed, and then somehow made its way inside. Now it moves from room to room throughout construction. Every time I walk in the house it's a question of where it will be next... Perhaps I will even keep it post-construction?
Um, not so much. It might have other ideas, though!

Floors & Cabinets (kinda)

The music room is stuffed with boxes of flooring & cabinets!
And now I present... bamboo floors!! (with some random cabinets laying around for good measure.)
Heading in to the bedroom...
Taken from the window seat corner....
I'm happy. They are very very pretty. :) (And green, too! Yay for bamboo!)

Paint Colors

Choosing paint colors is hard. Jennifer, my color specialist, is very smart. She also leans more towards earth tones... while I like BIG. BRIGHT. COLOR! It's been a process, but I think I've finally narrowed the exterior to purple + brown trim +....
Not this color blue...
Or that really bright blue... but GREEN!

Which, ironically, are the exact colors I wanted when I first started this journey. Go figure.

Next step - interior paint. Oh boy.
